Mummas in Mind Testimonials

‘I feel that the postnatal walking group Natalie has set up is fantastic for mothers. It is a friendly group and doing some light exercise whilst meeting other new mums is great for our mental health.’ Tanya

Joining the postnatal wellbeing walking group when my second daughter was only a few weeks old was the best thing I could have done.  It has led to continued informal support and structure to the week and has led to long term local friends that extend far beyond just a Wednesday meet up!

Natalie is a true connector of people.  A thoughtful listener and a wealth of pre and post natal knowledge always delivered with balance and without judgement.  You will not regret popping along to the weekly walking group and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - I still attended for a cuppa and chat until my youngest was almost 4 years old!- Chrissy

The Postnatal Wellbeing Walking Group was the best thing I did for my mental health when I had my second baby. Even though it didn’t solve the issues I was having with non- sleeping babies it gave me a routine and something to look forward to each week outside the house. I could cope so much better when out with my baby and she seemed to be so much happier too! It was so great to be able to talk to others who were experiencing similar ‘velcro baby’ issues and now she is older she is still best buddies with one of the other little girls whose mum attended the walks too. Both my daughters were welcomed with open arms at the walks and the playtime events that Natalie also organized which helped to continue our connection to the group even when we couldn’t walk anymore due to a change in my working hours. Natalie has given so much to this community of mums and I am so grateful to her for always being there on a Wednesday morning with a smile and non-judgemental listening ear.- Phillipa

Walking group has been a massive help in my journey of motherhood. I didn't know anyone in the area and when I became a first time mum, I really needed a group of mums who would understand what I'm going through. I'm so glad I found Natalie, her walking group. All the mums who I've met have been wonderful and it's something I look forward to every week,  a reason to get out of the house, share the experience of the week that's gone by ,have some exercise and after a nice walk, we go for a cuppa! I would feel quite lost without it.- Evita

Walking Group Testimonials

  1. Before Mummas in Mind I was feeling overwhelmed, stressed and felt quite alone as a new first time mum.

2. Everything has changed since the 6 week course. I feel like I'm part of a group of wonderful women, who are going through a similar experience as me and I now feel  more confident in socializing with others, I feel great and I am so happy that I got to join the course.

3. It really surprised me that so many women go through similar experiences and by coming together to share our experiences and learn from one another it brings you closer and really gives you a sense of community.

4. If someone was on the fence about joining Mummas in Mind I'd say “do it”, if you're nervous or a bit scared just take that leap and put yourself out there, it will be worth it! You need that time and connection and you deserve it! ❤️

Thank you so much Natalie for organizing such an amazing group, it really was something I was looking forward to every week!! ❤️

I am making time to take 30 minutes for some quiet activities for myself in the evening 🥰

As discussed in the last session of Mummas in Mind, when we made the self care plan, I've scheduled in 2 x regular slots for my mother in law to have my son during the week so I can have an hour or two break.

And…

Tomorrow my partner and I are going on our first date night since becoming parents to watch a film at the cinema. Although I am feeling a bit worried about leaving our baby I  keep telling myself he'll be okay for a few hours and we'll be better parents for taking the break for ourselves as a couple!
